I am inspired by all things vintage and retro. I love to find vintage junk and re-purpose items into one of a kind treasures. I will have my regular crowns, party hats and jewelry. I have also been making some really cool lamps that I am bringing. I love old paper, textiles and sewing supplies and have been using them in one of a kind whimsy items. I will also be bringing some vintage trim for your own projects.

I make unique handmade clothing that is individually designed and sewn so each piece is completely one of a kind. I mainly use soft and stretchy fabrics so everything I make is super comfy, in addition to being totally cute and fun to wear. My handmade items include shirts, hoodies, and dresses. I also have a fun printed line of clothing with cute designs like owls, seahorses, birdcages, jackelopes and more!

I repurpose home decor items. I hand paint all of the picture frames that I use and repaint the accessories that I sell. This year I have a whole new line of artwork that has been created by my mother and I. Our latest collection consists of the cutest owls you have ever seen.   I have also started designing screen printed book bag style totes with original art and have started selling printed cards.

I’m all about the thrill of the hunt. I canvas thrift stores, estate sales, and even those sketchy antique stores that no girl in her right mind would walk into alone. I’m looking for that one awesome thing that is irrevocably unique. I think the pc term for what I make is vintage altered art assemblage. But let me break it down…I find cool old stuff and make it into cool new stuff. Some of my recent projects are vintage planters filled with vintage goodness, gumball machines aren’t just for gumballs anymore, frames of misfit toys (you can spot one of these on Stephanie Nielson’s, of the Nie Nie dialogue’s, blog…shameless plug for me) and altered birdcage dolls. While some of my pieces might bare a striking family resemblance, because they’re vintage by nature, they’re truly one of a kind. What I find determines what I make, so it’s hard to pin point what’s next in the repertoire. You can sometimes call IT kitschy, sometimes call IT shabby, sometimes call IT retro, but you can always call IT courtney.

We are two crazy sisters who like to make something out of anything. Anna uses reclaimed wood (from a 120-year old barn) for silhouette art, frames, candlesticks, etc. and makes new camp art out of old kitsch. Angela is a legend; she is a silversmith, jewelry designer, silk screener, embroiderer, painter, and more. With 12 kids between the two of us, we are picky and passionate about what we choose to create. And it is always fun and unique. We plan on featuring wood art, one-of-a-kind jewelry, silk screened and embroidered kitchen towels, campy trophies and… ! Visit us here or here.

I make jewelry and other accessories for ladies and babies. I also have been getting into clothing. My knit skirts are a big hit, and I am now offering them in a fuller a-line style and in sizes for children! I also am making baby and adult leggings in vintage and upcycled knits. I’m doing some fun things with hand dying, and using my collection of vintage fabrics to make one-of-a-kind bags. Visit me here.

“It is the highlight of our year when the Beehive Bazaar time comes around. We are so inspired by the fabulous artists in our area that we are usually teeming with great ideas to bring to the event. This year we are trying to stretch a little more beyond the border with paper mache and thrift store repurposing. Of course, we can’t help but add some of our brightly colored creations, such as Jeremy’s “Wonderland” clips or Zoe’s fabric birds. We also like to include some the eclectic ideas that are “Oh so perfect” for that special person! We hope to see you there.”

I make whatever I’m obsessing over at the moment. Recently, that has included wooden arrows for home decor, interchangeable beaded pendants, vintage Saltair swim basket tag necklaces, simple scarves out of vintage fabrics, greeting cards made out of gel medium image transfers, mini silk notebooks, vintage knife necklaces, beehive Christmas ornaments and arrow necklaces. I worked in LA for five years for a jewelry designer and then a stationery studio and have just recently begun to venture out
on my own, with the Salt Lake City valley and mountains as my current inspiration.

I make things for women using vintage or re-purposed items. Lately I’ve been experimenting with textiles. The necklaces I’ve been making are all dipped in enamel, which changes the feel and texture of the textile. I also have been making skirts and belts with re-purposed materials. The headbands I’m making all use vintage lace and wool.

I build VERY affordable furniture….bookcases, kids furniture, tables, chairs, built-ins…anything anyone needs me to build. I love working with wood…working with my hands and creating things that people can use and love. I build high quality goods that I feel should last as long as the tree took to grow. This spring I will have fun garden furniture, pyramid trellis’, framed arts and crafts tiles, pressed tin picture frames, salvaged window cabinets, bookcases, nice thick maple cutting boards….all sorts.

I make uber-cool accessories out of recycled materials. My bracelets are made primarily out of old magazine pages and I have a new line (bracelets for now and purses/pocketbooks/notebooks to come) made out of bike tire inner tubes. I also incorporate old zipper pulls into some accessories. I describe my style as a mixture of industrial/ethnic/chic and design for both men and women. While much of my line’s appeal is that is recycled, people love it for it’s originality and uniqueness. I like creating wearable fashion from things that otherwise end up in the garbage! Visit me!

Ashley: I create because I like things that don’t exist. I reuse things that have meaning to me, like skirts out of my Grandpa’s old work shirts. I print cards because I like working with my hands, and who hasn’t needed a Get Well Soon Broken Heart card?

Camille: I make things out of fabric: quilts, quiet books, and clock pillows for children. For adults: fabric box sets, Children Kids plushies, and Christmas collection including stockings, ornaments, wreathes, and Tiger Fire Christmas Album (in this case I made something out of music). I do it because I like creation.

I’ll have plenty this year including some of the linocut cards I had in the spring 2007 show back as signed prints. My main focus will be clothing made from recycled sources such as preworn clothing, scraps, and thrift store fabric. Some of my clothing is completely original and some is based on vintage patterns with my own elements added. I have been focusing on women tops. The amount of chemicals used to produce and process new fabrics is staggering, and it harms us and our world. My little son has autism and so of course having a world with less toxins is important to me and that is why I do what I do. Visit me!

I have three wonderful and amazing daughters, I started my business to celebrate my love and life with them. I love to make creations that celebrate being a girl, in all stages of life. My creations tend to slant toward the very essence of feminine. I started making fairy items, but I have moved on to unique hairclips, chandeliers, junk journals, vintage button bracelets, lampshades, painted vintage furniture, crowns and some wearable art. I always try to add vintage elements, lace, buttons, ribbon, old pictures; anything with a wonderful sense of history. My goal is to see someone’s eyes light up when they see what I have made!

I enjoy upcycling , creating new uses for old items. I have created several designs for what would be trash. The Animal Fairy ornaments are approximately three to six inches high, digitally reproduced, surreal , mixed media collage, which are laminated with beaded wire hangers. The smaller fairies (not laminated) make excellent gift tags. Soda cans and discarded cardboard cutout design push pins & magnets. Soda cutout designs for a pair earrings. Cardboard boxes become eco-sensitive gift tags, blank on one side. I find inspiration in daily life as well as an assistant art teacher for 1-8 graders.
