“It is always a treat to see a smile on a child’s face. This year, Ruby Market has decided to focus a little bit more on the simple things that can make a child’s eyes sparkle. From our knitted mustaches that promote imaginary play to our “You Can Do It” reward badges, we think we have hit the spot. What child doesn’t enjoy getting rewarded for huge triumphs like potty training or surviving the day at preschool?! Your boys will also feel so handsome when they don our big boy bow ties, the girls won’t be able to resist pinching their cheeks! In addition, we have decided to spruce up our hot air balloons with some nursery themed surprises. You’ll just have to wait and see… who knows, maybe we can get your imagination going too.” Visit me here.

I’m doing some fun things with hand dying, and using my collection of vintage fabrics to make one-of-a-kind bags. Visit me here.

I make things for women using vintage or re-purposed items. Lately I’ve been experimenting with textiles. The necklaces I’ve been making are all dipped in enamel, which changes the feel and texture of the textile. I also have been making skirts and belts with re-purposed materials. The headbands I’m making all use vintage lace and wool.

I primarily sew anything out of ’snazzy’ fabrics that kids would enjoy! I will be making girls’ reversible cape coats, applique baseball caps for boys and girls, kids’ superhero capes and masks, and kids’ organizing totes. I may also do some women cape coats…

Cavalcade is a wife and husband team that can’t stop making stuff. She uses fabric and pearls, he uses wood and leather. He likes the original, she likes the funky. Pillows, rope scarves, belts in different styles, and (not your momma’s) cutlery blocks.

After looking at countless Dutch and Swiss graphic design work from the 1950 – 60’s, I got insanely inspired to design and screen print up quite a few art posters that all have elements found in those vintage sources.
All of the posters are printed by hand using soy based screen printing ink.

I like to make bags made from old pairs of pants. I make soft toys- some rattle some don’t. I have a new design for the rattles that sold so well at the last bazaar and I am working on a new toy design that will be better for small babies. I also make hot pads and embroider kids T-shirts. I might even pull out some other new ideas by the time May gets here…

I pretty much have crafting ADD so I make a lot of different
things. My husband, Brad, does a lot of it too (he has paintings and
furniture too, but they are pretty big). He does a lot of the felting
and wall hanging construction.

I love delving into my creative world. After a crazy day with my kids it is the perfest place to escape to. I love designing with beautiful fabrics. I love the sound my ink roller makes as a drag it across the plexiglass. Lino-cuts and fabrics are my drug of choice! Enjoy!

I’m a fan of fabric, and I love giving previously used fabrics new form and a new life. I’m turning beautifully colored (but no longer fashionable) wool sweaters into scarves, headbands, bags, fingerless gloves and other fun wearables.

This winter I’ve readied some new creations of widely varying degrees of practicality and palaver: from rabbits and birds and things of this earth to ghosties and monsters and creatures undiscovered. I’ve also been reclaiming yarns of sweaters and afghans from days gone by and revitalizing those forgotten fibers into deliciously fat, cozy scarf-wares.

Fabric is the inspiration. I buy my fabric from antique stores in my home state of Washington. When I discover a beautiful fabric I immediately imagine the wonderful creations I could make with it. I like to make laptop covers, headbands, dresses, skirts, bags, pillows, and quilts.

Lately I’ve been drawing pictures, mostly of forests and mushrooms and little girls and robots…things that make me happy! I will have framed pictures for sale, and have also transferred some drawings to screens to print. I will be printing deer, elephants, mushrooms and robots onto stockings, leggings, dresses, scarves and cards. I’ll probably find ways to incorporate vintage trimmings and buttons onto them, as I’ve been stocking up. I can’t wait!

Is there such a thing as “Creativity ADD”? If so, we have it!! We love to make and create in so many different ways that we can hardly focus on one medium. Of course, we refer to each other as “genius” but that is only because we share the same taste.
Hopefully you will like our taste too! Visit me!

Using felt and vintage fabrics, I make a variety of colorful items such as stuffed animals, pillows and accessories. In my work I walk the line between bold and fun and comforting and nostalgic. Lately I’ve been making kitschy Utah souvenirs. Provo Pride! Visit me!

BAGS/PURSES- because everyone needs one.
PACIFIER CLIPS- I would hate for baby’s pacifier to get dirty.
STATE OR LETTER NECKLACES- who wants a naked neck all the time?
JAPANESE FABRIC COVERED BUTTONS- so you can add a little flare to your stuff.
SKIRTS & SHIRTS- what’s better than a new skirt or a shirt? an upcycled one!
BIBS, BLANKETS, BURP CLOTHS- spit up, warmth & cleaner clothes. need I say more…
BIRD & MUSTACHE PILLOWS- making the couch a little more inviting.

Turn it upside down. Stretch it. Shrink it. Make it two-dimensional. Make it move. Make it fly. Fold it. Use a different texture. Rearrange the elements. Make it look futuristic….
With each piece I create, I try to gain ideas and ask myself how I am going to follow thru and make the finished piece the most unique and interesting that it can be.
Inspired by everything from bauhaus graphic design, The Beatles, to Wes Anderson films.
I mainly screen print t-shirts, fabric, wood and paper. I also make backpacks and other bags using my own patterns and design.

Ashley: I create because I like things that don’t exist. I reuse things that have meaning to me, like skirts out of my Grandpa’s old work shirts. I print cards because I like working with my hands, and who hasn’t needed a Get Well Soon Broken Heart card?
Camille: I make things out of fabric: quilts, quiet books, and clock pillows for children. For adults: fabric box sets, Children Kids plushies, and Christmas collection including stockings, ornaments, wreathes, and Tiger Fire Christmas Album (in this case I made something out of music). I do it because I like creation.

I’ll have plenty this year including some of the linocut cards I had in the spring 2007 show back as signed prints. My main focus will be clothing made from recycled sources such as preworn clothing, scraps, and thrift store fabric. Some of my clothing is completely original and some is based on vintage patterns with my own elements added. I have been focusing on women tops. The amount of chemicals used to produce and process new fabrics is staggering, and it harms us and our world. My little son has autism and so of course having a world with less toxins is important to me and that is why I do what I do. Visit me!

Inspired by variety, Dallas never makes the same thing twice. She loves to sew and embroider; she dabbles in crocheting, she beads and makes jewelry. So hurry, hurry, hurry, step right up and get your ticket for the imagination contortionist and all of her wonderful oddities. Easily Amused gifts are intended for the frequently exuberant, the blatantly giddy, the often nostalgic and, of course, the easily amused. If you miss the attention to detail of yesteryear Dallas is your gal; her one of a kind creations are great to have and share. Visit me!

I love creating stuff and I like sewing stuff! I don’t like using patterns so I make up my own. That means that every thing I make is unique in it’s own way. I make bags, embroiderd kids shirts, pencil/notebook holders, aprons, hot pads, place mats and some stuffed animals. Some are repurposed from old clothes or thrifted fabrics and some are not. I think handmade is way better than manufactured! Visit me at www.radseams.com and www.radpots.com.

I am a graphic designer/illustrator by trade & I quit my full-time job a year ago to practice as an artist and to make my own products. All of the products I make are hand-illustrated. I letterpress print my own cards & art prints and screen print my own t-shirts in my garage. It’s everything I love and all I want to do…

I design and make custom leather belts and recycled leather cuffs. My drive is to deliver a fresh way to accessorize. it’s all about being independent from the norm by using things most people would throw out. I use re-claimed belt buckles on my belts. I love to feature the natural or raw elements of working in leather- basically I am a nontraditional leatherworker.

Isabell’s Umbrella grew from an obsession with stationery, writing instruments and design. Ashley Giessing, owner/artist, believes she should have been born in the nineteenth century, when all correspondence was done by hand.
Specializing in stationery that will lift the clouds of a rainy day, Ashley’s hopes are to renew the lost “art” of hand correspondence by creating stationery you will want to share with others. “There is nothing that means more to me than a kind, heartfelt, handwritten note from someone I love.”
Seriously cute stationery, buttons, pillows, artwork and children clothing are just a part of my line-up.

I make several items including:
1. Women’s Clothing. I collect rare, vintage textiles and use them to make women’s clothing, mostly dresses and skirts. I design them, make the patterns, and sew them. All clothes are very cute, unique and one of a kind
2. Embroidered pillows. I hand embroider pillows with various designs that I come up with. These are also one of a kind and quite adorable
3. Laptop and ipod socks. These are soft cases for laptops and ipods with unique images and designs. I use rare and unique fabrics for these also.
All merchandise is hand made of the highest quality.
