Traditional European Christmas crafts from pine cones and vintage papers. Hand-sewn and reversible headbands from recycled and vintage fabrics. Knit owls with vintage button eyes (can be attached to hairclips, broochpins, or even giftboxes.) Baby shoes made from wool felt with vintage button closures. Knit laptop cases. Handmade progressive cards. Handcarved rubber stamps. Other handsewn items- sewn buckets/boxes for organizing and storing things.
I like to be busy and productive creating new useful items from reused or natural materials.

This year I am making lots of framed paintings of fish and birds. I also have made a series of wooden bird puzzles (which I don’t have a photo of at the moment). I will have some letterpress items with my art on them as well, and hopefully some little felted animals.

Mike and Alma Loveland are a husband and wife team who work together on various projects. Alma is more on the graphic art end, Mike is more on the traditional art end. Together they offer a fun, functional, and eclectic mix of products.

Rachel and Cheryl share a love for creating and photography which they incorporate into their unique handmade jewelry, photo art on canvases, cards, magnets, etc. Each piece is unique and way cute! They also make handmade soap using highest quality oils and pure chocolate. Yum!

I am a working mom of two. I bake to stay sane. I love making cookies, brownies, etc from scratch. I love being creative and making memories with our little family of four.

I absolutely love fabric.  I started creating these headpieces to make money so I could purchase more fabric!  The headpieces have taken over the creative side of my  brain.  I love combining the different textures and colors of the fabrics to create a unique piece of hair candy.  I hope you will enjoy my creations and are able to feel the happiness I exude as I make each and every one.

I love stained glass and the light/color it brings to a room-but since it isn’t practical for us all to have a cathedral window in our house, I try and make fun and versatile items so it is possible for anyone to enjoy glass!

I make everything! I make jewelry, handbags and accessories using old/vintage/recycled/and new materials. In the past, I sold a lot of jewelry and handbags (14 different patterns) and now because of the economy, I have been making accessories for women and children with smaller price tags!

I like to make things that are fun to play with, fun to wear, fun to use, fun to look at. Lately I’ve been making papier mache sculptures- mostly little deer. I’ve been designing paper dolls and crafting felt pictures on baby clothes. I have letterpressed notecards and some delectable edibles as well.

I’m a fan of fabric, and I love giving previously used fabrics new form and a new life. I’m turning beautifully colored (but no longer fashionable) wool sweaters into scarves, headbands, bags, fingerless gloves and other fun wearables.

I make absolutely delicious carmel apples, one taste and you can’t help but have more! I also have some other wonderful treats in small and yummy sizes. These are the perfect thing to munch on while shopping.

This winter I’ve readied some new creations of widely varying degrees of practicality and palaver: from rabbits and birds and things of this earth to ghosties and monsters and creatures undiscovered. I’ve also been reclaiming yarns of sweaters and afghans from days gone by and revitalizing those forgotten fibers into deliciously fat, cozy scarf-wares.

Fabric is the inspiration. I buy my fabric from antique stores in my home state of Washington. When I discover a beautiful fabric I immediately imagine the wonderful creations I could make with it. I like to make laptop covers, headbands, dresses, skirts, bags, pillows, and quilts.

Lately I’ve been drawing pictures, mostly of forests and mushrooms and little girls and robots…things that make me happy! I will have framed pictures for sale, and have also transferred some drawings to screens to print. I will be printing deer, elephants, mushrooms and robots onto stockings, leggings, dresses, scarves and cards. I’ll probably find ways to incorporate vintage trimmings and buttons onto them, as I’ve been stocking up. I can’t wait!

I make a variety of items which include: wood, metal, resin, glass, and bottle cap necklaces, collage, transfer and painting canvas art work, funky hair clips for adults and children, colorful tutus, unique princess accessories, covered button earrings rings and pins, Christmas ornaments and decorations. I do this because I need to join an artists support group. I just can’t stop!

Is there such a thing as “Creativity ADD”? If so, we have it!! We love to make and create in so many different ways that we can hardly focus on one medium. I make one-of-a-kind Christmas tree skirts and Christmas stockings out of vintage and retro fabrics. I love to use vintage trims, ric rac, and pom poms. This year I will have some surprising new designs made out of mens ties and other fun items. Come and get an original that no one else will have!

Using felt and vintage fabrics, I make a variety of colorful items such as stuffed animals, pillows and accessories. In my work I walk the line between bold and fun and comforting and nostalgic. Lately I’ve been making kitschy Utah souvenirs. Provo Pride! Visit me!

I make uber-cool accessories out of recycled materials. My bracelets are made primarily out of old magazine pages and I have a new line (bracelets for now and purses/pocketbooks/notebooks to come) made out of bike tire inner tubes. I also incorporate old zipper pulls into some accessories. I describe my style as a mixture of industrial/ethnic/chic and design for both men and women. While much of my line’s appeal is that is recycled, people love it for it’s originality and uniqueness. I like creating wearable fashion from things that otherwise end up in the garbage! Visit me!

When I was little, I would ask my mom to draw me pictures of ‘merdalmations’ (dalmation + mermaid tail). Since then I’ve graduated from BYU in visual arts, emphasizing in painting and drawing. In June, I finished my Master’s degree in Art Therapy Counseling from Marylhurst University. Today, I continue to paint and make prints of my artwork. Art is a form of communication and this is my visual language. Can you hear me?

Nifty Kidstuff started on a whim when I was just fifteen. Now, I’m at the Savannah College of Art and Design majoring in Fibers. Sycamore Street Press is the full-time family business of Kirk and Eva Jorgensen. We are dedicated to combining fresh designs, sustainable methods, and the vintage charm of letterpress printing. We collaborate with a few of our friends to create the designs for our cards, posters, gift tags, frame mats, fortune tellers, etc… Then Kirk and I crank each item through our Vandercook press by hand to achieve the texture and impression that letterpress is known for. We love the creative, collaborative nature of our work and we love sharing the beauty of letterpress with others!

I build VERY affordable furniture…bookcases, tables, chairs, built-ins…anything someone needs me to build….I love working with wood and working with my hands…creating fun things and I feel like the things I build should last at least the same time it took for the tree to grow.

With each piece I create, I try to gain ideas and ask myself how I am going to follow thru and make the finished piece the most unique and interesting that it can be.

Ashley: I create because I like things that don’t exist. I reuse things that have meaning to me, like skirts out of my Grandpa’s old work shirts. I print cards because I like working with my hands, and who hasn’t needed a Get Well Soon Broken Heart card?

Camille: I make things out of fabric: quilts, quiet books, and clock pillows for children. For adults: fabric box sets, Children Kids plushies, and Christmas collection including stockings, ornaments, wreathes, and Tiger Fire Christmas Album (in this case I made something out of music). I do it because I like creation.

I’ll have plenty this year including some of the linocut cards I had in the spring 2007 show back as signed prints. My main focus will be clothing made from recycled sources such as preworn clothing, scraps, and thrift store fabric. Some of my clothing is completely original and some is based on vintage patterns with my own elements added. I have been focusing on women tops. The amount of chemicals used to produce and process new fabrics is staggering, and it harms us and our world. My little son has autism and so of course having a world with less toxins is important to me and that is why I do what I do. Visit me!

I make modern paper cut silhouette images. Mostly of children and people. I have original pieces & also giclee prints of my most popular designs. The giclee prints are made of the highest quality archival ink and printed on somerset print making paper. My images and color palettes are very modern. I’ve been working really hard these last few months to increase my selection. I’ll have-all new prints of never-before-seen girls and characters in time for this show, both as open and limited editions. I’ve got new necklace designs and have expanded my product selection into bookmarks, magnets, gift tags, stationery and notepads. I also plan to have ready unique, holiday-themed designs perfect for December. A few new cards have been added to the line as well, and adorable new frames have been found to house my prints and will be available; waiting and ready-to-hang. What fun! Come visit me!

I have three wonderful and amazing daughters, I started my business to celebrate my love and life with them. I love to make creations that celebrate being a girl, in all stages of life. My creations tend to slant toward the very essence of feminine. I started making fairy items, but I have moved on to unique hairclips, chandeliers, junk journals, vintage button bracelets, lampshades, painted vintage furniture, crowns and some wearable art.
