We are excited to announce Utahs own Mad Max and the Wild Ones will be rockin the Beehive Bazaar VIP Party Wednesday May 5th at 9:00 PM.

Mad Max and the Wild Ones is a rockin’ family band from Springville, Utah. On lead guitar is Wyatt Maxwell, age 18. Wyatt got his first guitar when he was eight and hasn’t put it down since! Wyatt is the youngest guitar player to be sponsored by Gretsch Guitars. On the skins is Cole Maxwell, age 14.When Cole was five he asked Santa for a drumset so that he could play along with his brother. Cole’s stick twirling and amazing solos have made drummers three times his age hang their heads in shame!! Nine year old Duke is on lead vocals, rhythm guitar and harmonica. He has been called such things as “Johnny Cash reincarnated”, and the “new King of Rock and Roll”! Dad was the last one to pick up an instrument. He was feeling left out so Mom bought him a double bass for Christmas and the boys taught him how to play it. Since then these boys have been delighting audiences all across the country and overseas. They have even been called “The Greatest Band In The World! (under 400 lbs)

Six new pieces just finished. My art has been taking a different turn lately, I have been experimenting with different subject matters, colors and adding a ton of texture. I love carving words and sayings into the paint and I’m pretty happy with the way they have turned out.

Inspired by variety, Dallas never makes the same thing twice. She loves to sew and embroider; she dabbles in crocheting, she beads and makes jewelry. So hurry, hurry, hurry, step right up and get your ticket for the imagination contortionist and all of her wonderful oddities. Easily Amused gifts are intended for the frequently exuberant, the blatantly giddy, the often nostalgic and, of course, the easily amused. If you miss the attention to detail of yesteryear Dallas is your gal; her one of a kind creations are great to have and share.

I make handcrafted cold process soaps from scratch in my kitchen! Some soaps have a “Utah” theme, while others have more general appeal. Soaps are formulated with goats milk, yogurt, water or beer — and are fragranced with essential oils/skin safe fragrance oils. Also have a line of solid lotion bars. Gift sets are assembled with purchased soap dishes.

What don’t I make……that is the question! I enjoy creating a plethora of accessories using vintage / recycled / upcycled / new materials. I NEVER create multiples of any item – everything is one-of-a-kind. (unless you special order for a wedding or something special!)

A slightly obsessive love for color, texture, and interesting fabrics drove me to start sewing. An equally consuming fixation for cute (but pricey) hair pieces drove me start making them myself. I started with felt and chiffon, and then ribbons and beads and appliques crept in. And the rest is history.

I build VERY affordable furniture….bookcases, kids furniture, tables, chairs, built-ins…anything anyone needs me to build. I love working with wood…working with my hands and creating things that people can use and love. I build high quality goods that I feel should last as long as the tree took to grow. This spring I will have fun garden furniture, pyramid trellis’, framed arts and crafts tiles, pressed tin picture frames, salvaged window cabinets, bookcases, nice thick maple cutting boards….all sorts.

After looking at countless Dutch and Swiss graphic design work from the 1950 – 60’s, I got insanely inspired to design and screen print up quite a few art posters that all have elements found in those vintage sources.
All of the posters are printed by hand using soy based screen printing ink.

No one is perfect, but we are all beautiful. These pendants give the feeling of being beautiful, unique and rough around the edges all at the same time. My work reflects the wonderful, flawed idiosyncrasies in us all. And it makes us breath-taking.
I make hand melted, hand stamped pendants. There are a variety of fonts and types, ranging from chunky and “wonky” to tiny and sophisticated. As you can’t control where the metal flows when you stamp them, they are each different and no two can be exactly alike. I am very passionate about the charm and individuality these pendants represent.

felt∙ed∙wool (felt΄ed wool) noun 1 the soft curly hair of a sheep worked together by pressure, heat, and water to form a material which does not fray or lose shape

We collaborate with a few of our friends to create the designs for our cards, posters, gift tags, frame mats, fortune tellers, etc… Then Kirk and I crank each item through our Vandercook press by hand to achieve the texture and impression that letterpress is known for. Button Boutique started as “uh-oh, I didn’t think I would win” purchase on eBay. In order to pay for the cost of our new crafting tools, the Estes girls quickly got to work creating all things buttons. Buttons became a creative outlet and for some an obsession. Slowly it evolved into a small business – one in which all Estes girls (ages thirty-something to three) help keep going. With a houseful of six gals (and one very patient man) creating and making things is a daily event, one that seems to be a necessity. Creating brings us happiness and sometimes a little extra cash. We make adorable button earrings, pocket mirrors, hair accessories, magnets, and other button goodies. We are excited to introduce some new products at the upcoming bazaar!
